Yup, that'll be owning the conditions, then - just like I said.  Despite its potential capabilities, I can't claim my bike ever goes up any mountains (oh no - not with these knees).  But, with significant stretches of Leicester's river towpath currently under water, and much of the remainder - inches deep in mud, my knobbly tyres finally get to justify themselves, for once.   

Of course, once you become 'fearless', you really just spend longer with the hose pipe - cleaning the thing...
